Practice Vacancy: Salaried GP

We are pleased to offer a salaried post with our friendly team at Ystradgynlais Group Practice.

Come and join us, we are a training practice located in the Upper Swansea Valley approximately 10 miles from the M4 corridor. We operate across 3 sites Pengorof Surgery, Ystalyfera Surgery and Abercrave Surgery.

This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic GP who is excited about the future challenges that General Practice brings. Our team of 10 Partners, 3 Registrars are supported by 1 Advanced Nurse Triage Practitioner, 3 Advanced Care Planning Nurses, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Student Nurse, 3 Health Care Assistants, 2 Practice Pharmacists, 2 Pharmacy Technicians, Practice Manager, Business Manager and a team of 33 administrative/clerical staff.

Our practice aims to improve the health of those living in and around the Ystradgynlais area and we work closely with many local community services to achieve this, including the community hospital where our GPs provide cover to the Minor Injuries Unit and work alongside the ward Consultants. Three of our partners are qualified GP Trainers and we welcome applicants with special interests to further extend our patient services. All our GPs have specialist interests, and we run a regular Dermatology service for our patients. We encourage professional development, education, and training and would be supportive of other personal interests that you may wish to pursue and can provide the security and stability required to undertake such ventures. We encourage medical student placements as we value our input into the future of General Practice.
