Sexual Health

You can self- refer to the sexual health clinic at Singleton hospital and Neath Port Talbot hospital for free and confidential:

  • sexual health advice, testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs) and treatment
  • Contraception, including emergency contraceptive pill and emergency coils.
  • pregnancy testing
  • HIV testing
  • access to PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) at Singleton Hospital
  • access to PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) at Singleton and Neath Port Talbot hospitals
  • help for victims of sexual assault
  • psychosexual counselling

All access to sexual health clinics is now appointment only. If you require an appointment at a sexual health clinic, patients are asked to contact the Helpline on 0300 555 0279.

The Helpline is available Monday to Thursday, between 08:00 and 18:30 and Friday, between 08:00 and 14:00. The line is closed between 12:30 – 13:00 each day for lunch. The Helpline can be very busy but keep trying. You can also contact the service by emailing SBU.SexualHealth@wales.nhs.uk.
