Office Manager – Sian
Our office manager oversees the day-to-day running of the Pengorof Reception Team.
Reception Team Leader and Triage Lead – Tina
Tina assists with all tasks associated with the smooth running of reception and leads the Triage administrative team contacting patients regarding their appointment requests that day.
Practice Reception Staff
Barbara, Gaynor, Katherine, Nicky, Jennifer, Andrea, Angela, Andrea, Shona, Chrissie, Dawn and Amanda.
Our Reception team have a huge remit which involves recording information and passing it on to triaging GPs, making nurse/HCA appointments, taking requests for home visits, giving out test results, dealing with your general queries, contacting you on behalf of the GPs and offering help and assistance at all times. All our staff are bound by a confidentiality agreement and the information you give them is always treated in the strictest confidence.
Repeat Prescribing Clerk – Janet
Janet works as our Repeat Prescribing Clerk. She manages orders for repeat medication, deals with prescribing queries, liaises with local Pharmacies and Care Homes and ensures that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Practice Screening Coordinator – Gail
Gail manages Cervical Screening and Child Development, Immunisation and Flu Clinics throughout the practice. Gail ensures the smooth running of these clinics and has played a key role in developing our baby clinic to a high standard which has been recognised by Powys Local Health Board and used as a Good Practice Guide
Medical Secretaries – Enfys and Kim
Our secretaries provide full secretarial support to all our GPs, Practice Manager and visiting locums ensuring that patient referrals to Secondary Care are completed as efficiently as possible.
General Administrator – Tracey
Tracey provides practice administrative support to the Practice Manager and liaises with companies and individuals regarding access to medical records.
Administration / IT Team Manager – Mair
Mair is our Administration and IT Support Manager responsible for the smooth running of the administration team.
Administration Team – Debra, Sue and Tracy
The Administration team oversee the practice administration requirements, e.g. patient registration, medical records, scanning, coding, notes summarising and staff training. The Admin team also provide IT support and training to all practice staff to ensure the practice maintains excellent data quality standards. The team work closely with Clinical Leads to ensure effective patient care.
Ystalfera Branch Site
Ystalyfera Reception Staff – Sonia, Helenand Adele
Our Reception team have a huge remit which involves making appointments for you, taking requests for home visits, processing repeat prescriptions, giving out test results, dealing with your general queries, contacting you on behalf of the GPs and offering help and assistance at all times. All our staff are bound by a confidentiality agreement and the information you give them is always treated in the strictest confidence.
Abercrave Branch Site
Helen is our Practice Pharmacist. Helen is an Independent Prescriber who works closely with GPs, Nurses, the dispensing team, Care Homes and registered patients providing Pharmaceutical input and advice, carrying out medication reviews and dealing with prescription queries.
Kathryn, Victoria, Ellie and Clare work as dispensers at the surgery, where orders for repeat medication are processed and completed within 48 working hours.
Health Visitors offer a service to families with pre-school children, at home and in clinic. They are available to discuss and give information and guidance on a range of topics to promote family health and well-being. This includes emotional health, postnatal depression, child development, feeding, sleeping and minor illness. They can be contacted on the following numbers:
